  1. Hello,

I have just bought a BOV off ebay but it didn’t come with a blank plug for the plumb pipe so would i be able to purchase one off you? Also I have been asking around and people are saying that if i block off my plumb pipe it would effect my engine, is this true in anyway and if it is, is it only minor?

Thanks very much for your time,

    Kind regards

  2. hi i’ve got a turbo smart street fuel regulator on my car a vl turbo rb30t its currenttly having fuel issues due to a malfuctioning fuel reg can i get another one was this product recalled?

  3. I have EB2 (2 port connect method 1) hooked up to Comp-40 WG (26 spring)

if i leave my SP value at 20 the WG open around 20psi i had to crack it up to 55SP to achieve 28psi..
    is this normal?

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

I have purchased a 50mm Raceport BOV from a friend but require an adapter/flange/pipe reducer for it to fit my Evo 8. Can you advise where I can source this from and I also require a lug screw to seal one of the wholes. Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

  5. Hi,

I have a 2002 Saab 93 2.0 ltr turbo running stock bosch BOV. I am wanting to upgrade the factory BOV and just wanting to know which product you have that suits as when i did a search for my make and model it only showed cars up to 2001? Will this still be compatible or is there another product you have that will suit? also is it necessary to run a boost controler? what are the advantages of running a boost controler. was initialy just looking at a BOV upgrade.

    Regards,

    Andy

    • Hi Andy,

We have tested it with 2001 Saab 93 however we have not tested it with 2002 and so-forth.

You would be able to purchase the 2001 Saab 93 BOV and custom adapt it to fit the setup on your 2002 Saab.

It is advisable to run a boost controller as it increases response and performance throughout the rev range.

  6. hello sir,

    thanks

  7. Hi I’m looking at fitting a boost tee in a great wall v200 2.0 TDi to help with turbo lag, the v200 has a vgt turbo and also a boost solenoid. any help appreciated

  10. I recently purchased the Boost-Tee and im confused about which way to turn the dial. On the instructions it says that to increase boost, turn dial clockwise. However on the boost-tee it shows “+ boost” by turning anti-clockwise. Please advice.

  11. Is it possible to get an electronic blow off valve turbo smart. So with a flick of a switch it goes back to 100 plumb back from 50/50 vent to atmosphere. From a Mazda 6 MPS 2005

    • Anthony,

We do not manufacture an electronic BOV that you can change from Plumb Back to Vent with the flick of a switch.

You can however use a Dual Port which you can unscrew a section and convert into a Plumb Back very easily.

  12. G’day,

Just wondering how much you guys charge for the 2 inch V band flanges for the Pro-Gate 50.

    I’m after:
    TS-0502-3002 WG50 Outlet Weld Flange. x2
    TS-0502-3005 WG50 Outlet V-Band Clamp. x1

    Thanks, Karl.

  13. Hi I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer GSR, it’ve just put on a TD05 16G turbo, front mount intercooler and turbo back exhaust. I have a turbosmart single T boost controller, if i drive the car with the controller all the way off it runs at about 10psi and runs well thru the whole rev range and in every gear, but when i turn it up to 12-13 psi when i take off in 1st it runs out of fuel (so im guessing) but it does’nt happen in 2nd, 3rd or 4th. I will be buying a FPR 800 from you but i was wanting to know will i have to upgrade the fuel pump and/or injectors at the same time to fix this problem? Thanks

  14. Hi Nathan,

There could be a number of factors which are causing the car to cut out at the top of first gear, do you have and aftermarket ECU? you could be experiencing boost cut at the top of first gear which is when the most boost would be generated.

We would recommend upgrading your fuel system, injectors and getting a retune at the same time you install your Turbosmart FPR800 to get the most gains.

  15. BLUE: TS-0505-1005
I already buy wastegate (BLUE: TS-0505-1005).How much maximum bar can support.
Thanks a lot for ur information.

    • The standard CompGate40 comes with a 7psi Middle Spring installed.

It can support upto 26psi of base boost with the correct spring combinations (Inner, Middle & Outer springs).

  16. Hi,

    I have a 410ci LSX with a single GTX4508R in my VY SS .

Would you suggest running dual race ports instead of a single?
Also i currently have a 45mm gate on, do you think a 60mm version would be a better option?

    Thank you

  17. can i fit a boost t on my 2004 gu zd30 it has a dawes valve fitted but i would like to manually ajust boost cheers Ian

    • You can fit a Manual Boost Tee on a Nissan Patrol,

Providing the ECU allows boost increases, it will work, however in some cases it may not allow you to increase past a certain amount.

  18. I am driving a Ford Focus TDCI 2.0 which uses a diesel engine + VGT. After some research I have found that the turbo can only handle sustainable 18-22 psi however my car has been constantly boosting 25-26 psi after remap (even ECU request is at 1.5) and sudden spikes to 30 psi under certain load. Can an external wastegate be attached to a VGT so that I could have a upper boost limit where probably my current VGT actuator vanes couldn’t handle?

    • An external wastegate can be attached to a VGT setup however, on a car newer vehicle like the Focus, it is not recommended as your ECU may not cope unless it undergoes a further remap.

The best way to fix the spike that you are getting is to be using an electronic boost controller such as an eBoost2.

  19. hi i had swopped a car for turbosmart gear as i was told that this gear i have would work on my 2008 nissan patrol 30l turbo desiel and also the controler had a turbo timer on it have i been done by or can someone help out with a manual

  20. I recently hooked up an Eboost2, one problem I’m having is that the gauge is not reading vacuum. I have it connected to the same boost/vac source (manifold) that I’ve hooked every other gauge I’ve owned up to. Any idea what is going on?

    • Is the unit reading pressure? With the engine off, is it reading 0 or is it showing positive pressure? How old is the unit?

  21. Just bought and installed the TS-0203-1215 Kompact Plumb Back BOV on my stock WRX TR 2006. It is as quiet as the stock. is it possible to modify it and make it sound higher like a 50/50 or full atmospheric BOV?

    • No, the Kompact plumb back is designed to be quiet and stealth. If you want more noise, you will need to go to a Subaru model specific BOV like a Vee Port pro or Supersonic or even a Dual Port.

  22. I have a BMW 135i, which has an ER charge pipe (with two meth bungs) and the standard plastic divertors and over 400HP at the wheels.
I saw you made the BMW Plumb Back (TS-0203-1250) and Dual Port (TS-0203-1050) Kompact BOV kits for these cars. Why are the dimensions smaller than the individual Plumb Back (BLACK: 38mm outlet TS-0205-1272) and Dual Port (BLACK: 38mm outlet: TS 0205-1072) BOVs? And what are the other differences between the Kompact and Individual BOVs?
Is it possible to buy two individual BOVs (using our own hoses and clamps) and will the individual BOVs fit the 135i? Also, would the individual BOVs fit the standard mounting position or does it require a custom mount?

    • The Kompact BOV’s have a 28mm piston compared to a 38mm piston in the “individual” BOV’s. Our 38mm universal range will have a weld on inlet that will need fabrication to fit. Our Kompact BMW kits have the same quick release system as the standard diverter valves so that they bolt on without any fabrication. The Kompact model specific BOV will handle 400 HP of air.

    • Wastegate sizing depends on a few factors, such as desired minimum and maximum boost pressures and turbo specifications. Best to speak to your tuner to see what they would recommend, as they would know what is a safe level of boost for the engine.

  23. I bought Turbo Boost Tee for my KIA Sportage with RT diesel engine. May I ask if how many turns I have to do to attain 1 psi? I saw in the video presentation, do I need to remove the ball and spring in the entrance of the Turbo Boost Tee? Please reply me in my email. Thank you.

    • There is no real link between the number of turns and boost pressure. You will just need to trial it out and adjust accordingly. You only need to remove the ball and spring if you are experiencing undesirable boost spiking.

  24. Hi guys, need an advice. Do i need to cool down (other than removing the pressure/vacumn line) my engine before i re-calibrate the Zero display function of the Eboost Street 40psi unit?

  25. HI i have a 2011 libert gt i recently purchased a t piece boost controller can you tell me how to install it? do you have any diagrams or could you tell me how install it on this model

  26. Hi guys. I have a universal fit kompact dual port 32mm bov on my 2007 mazda3 mps. It has been performing flawlessly for a couple of years now and im really happy with it. Recently i have installed a fmic to it and i now have a bit of a problem. On the factory tmic the valve was mounted straight off the throttlebody end pipework and it worked great. The new intercooler has the mount for the valve on the turbo exhaust side and with the valve in full plumbback mode the car is backfiring between gear changes. I have double checked all the silicone joins for leaks but there is none. And besides the car idles perfectly. Is the location of the valve on the new pipework the issue or is the pink spring too hard. The car is running 17 psi. Thanks for your time

  27. Is there any flutter from the compressor or its still a smooth vent sound when backing off?

The Kompact DP you have, just confirming its a 34mm version? Are there any other mods done to the car? Did the problem start straight away? Does it happen all of the time or at certain RPM or boost pressure?

    • Hi again, Yes it is a 34mm. My mistake. The car has a GT2871R turbo, K&N panel filter in a custom airbox, 3″ turbo back exhaust, high pressure fuel pump and an EcuTek tune. The car has had a retune since the intercooler and fuel pump upgrade. The fluttering is occuring anywhere and anytime from minimum boost to maximum boost and in any gear and any rpm. The problem has started since we have done the fmic installation. When the valve was on the old top mount intercooler it made a nice whoosh noise when changing gears and only fluttered on lift off without changing gear. It was also mounted on the throttlebody side. Now it is mounted on the turbo exhaust side of the new front mount intercooler and flutters all the time. Thanks again

      • Is there any releasing of air at all from the BOV or is it just flutter? Did you change where the BOV got its vacuum or is anything tee’d into the line? if you free rev the engine, can you get the BOV to open?

        • Hi again. When the engine free revs there is no release at all. It just flutters. We didnt change its vacuum source at all. It is still sourced from the factory location and there is nothing else using that vacuum line

  28. Hi I want to bring my v200 in to fit a boost T because the turbo lag is unbearable and lacks a lot of power I know it should have any things else I should consider ? As the acceleration lag is annoying as well I have been told that you cannot boost these cars alot as the crank shaft can snap and that would mean a rebuild something I’m not willing to do on a cheap throw away ute maybe a bigger intercooler as well but I know the bigger intercooler the higher the boost setting would have to be just to compress all that air in the system do you have any advice that I should consider before bringing my ute in ?

  29. Hi.. im interested in getting the Universal IWG75 (TS-0681-5102), but im alittle confuse with the Part Number for the Clevis.. (IWG75 6.3mm (0.25”) Clevis TS-0600-3001) and (IWG75 8.2mm (0.32”) Clevis TS-0600-3002)

the size that it was referring to.. is it the Rod Diameter or the Clevis Hole Size ?

    Thanks
