New PB for PAC Mazda 6
Not many teams can claim to run a PB on their debut race but that’s just what PAC Performance did with their new Turbosmart-sponsored Mazda 6 SP.
Officially debuting their new car at this year’s Brisbane Jamboree, the anticipation for the car to show its potential was apparent not just in the rotary camp but within the entire sport compact drag racing fraternity.
As usual, the PAC team didn’t disappoint, running progressively lower ETs throughout the entire event.
The PB came in the evening of day 2, with the event drawing to a close, PAC’s Mazda lined up against Rod Harvey’s Celica in a Grudge Match. With George Rehayem behind the wheel, the car launched hard and shot ahead of Harvey’s Celica taking the win and setting a new PB of 6.57@211mph.
There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that the PAC team has its sights set firmly on getting the World Record back to Australia. We can’t wait!
